5am. I should be in Dreamland. But I am not. So what do people do at 5am, apart from getting up and ready for work, or for Sundays, for exercise, breakfast, whatever. Us urban folk... sleep til frigging 12 in the afternoon. What else is there to do in this living hell, this concrete jungle? Where the main pastimes are shopping and clubbing. Huh. Backroom should be packed and very very happening at this hour. Wishing i was there? Some parts of me do.

Some fuzz songs:
1 Policia - Sepultura
2 Fuck The Pol%#& - NWA
3 Fight the Power - Public Enemy
4 Most of the Dr Dre stable of songs.

My beloved amplifier
gave up the ghost today. It's been serving me since... 1990 or so. There i was listening to a MOST ExCellEnt CD - Chemical Brothers' 'Exit Planet Dust' - one of the best breathtaking electronic / dance albums ever. Wicked beats, swirling rhythms, captivating vocals... oh, Beth Orton, you got a fine voice.... Anyways, in the middle of some phat beats... poof. Sounds of silence. Ohhhh, sorrow of sorrows in mine broken heart! The beat must go on!

In half an hour the dawn will break. May we hope? For a new amplifier?!! My hopes for the new day: That those stupid Americans stop fighting 'evil'. So much harm to everyone, including themselves. Americans always think they are the saviour of the World. Sorry, Yankees, JC staked that claim a long time ago....

I hope that someone will knock some fucking sense into Those-In-Power, and they may see the light, and actually do something for the people in the democratic sense, instead of just benefitting the contractors. HEY we don't need new highways. What i can see we need is clean drinking water, decent parks (not pseudo-parks which look more like deserts), trees to line our roads, to provide some shade (and not those scrawny things masquerading as trees these days that don't look like they'll last 3 months.)

Traffic lights that work after a rainfall.

Nuff said for the morn. Enjoy Sunday.
