hey hey so the weekend came and went. as always.

highlight of the week was that late-nite (early morning?) drive to PD. had to pop over to seremban so thought we'd go to PD as well. yeaaa... Tanjung Biru proved to me as magical as ever, with the millions of stars, plus two shooting stars too. groovy, baby. didn't u just love the sight of those, mon cherry... : )

even catching forty winks in the car wasn't that bad given the location. thank god for the stall that was open, enabling us to buy the classic box of mosquito repellant. havent used those since the 80s worrrr... hee hee.

i think we're nuts....

hello... sawadeekaaaa.... hehehe

was in bangkok with beloved cherrylove, wed - sat. how's the place? errr... lotsa shopping, walking, temple-watching, boat-riding on the Chao Phraya (isnt that romantic). food food and more food. and then - food again! how does 8 meals a day sound. that's the price of walking around and wanting to try everything eh.

tuk-tuk riding was fun! even though the guy took us to all the tourist traps as well... riding in the open thru half of bangkok in what is essential a 3-wheeled motorbike, the fumes get to be irritating after a while especially if there's a bus right beside...

3 or 4 temples later, the tuk tuk chap has disappeared, the idiot, cos we were gonna tip him plenty for being so kind as to take us all over the place. perhaps the guy got his commission from the shops he took us to. ah well. we saved a few bucks there, yeah.

getting around bangkok is pretty convenient... there's the Skytrain, the MRT (which we didnt use), the boats along the Chao Phraya, taxis and tuk-tuks. it's a big city, so transport costs were formidable but still within acceptable limits. getting someplace usually meant taking the train, then a cab (hey sounds like our LRT system eh).

tips for prospective visitors - avoid Patpong, unless you're an SM freak who likes being abused and overcharged by traders there (sounds like Petaling Street - must be the Sino heritage). and unless you're looking for them girlie and live shows. ehemmm. irritating the way the ppl there push the shows... yucky yucky... i'll find my own way to play with pingpong balls if i ever see the need, thank u.. waka waka...

Chatuchak / Jatujak Market is a great place to be! wish they had a map / guide though, the place is just too big.. everything imaginable in one place - food & drink, souvenirs, clothes, furniture, decorative stuff, pets (oh so cute! and cheap!) and the list goes on and on and on. probably take two full days to see everything - the size is comparable to a huge expo at some world trade centre ok. humongous. this is where i'll spend my time if i need to shop in bangkok. come over, check out my Teva knock-offs heheh...

getting a headache. hungry. will continue next day ok... love n peace.

it ain't all that dark and gloomy, yaaaar.

caught this movie called Where's the Party Yaaar... its the kinda silly movie that just grows on you with every viewing. 3rd time round and i'm still rolling off the couch. yup. nice sight.

u know what.. perhaps the best part of going downhill, as in like in a roller-coaster, is that it will go upwards again, right. i'm rollercoaster-phobic, i keep imagining the cars coming off the rails. that sorta shit happens, yaaar...

its amazing the sort of ideas that come up while taking a dump.
